The PAI Master Trainer Network

By Invitation and Application — The Standard Is High. The Reward Is Greater.

Becoming a PAI Master Trainer is not a transaction. It is an invitation extended to the most accomplished, most professional, and most business-ready Pilates educators in the world — those who have not only mastered their craft as instructors, but who have also demonstrated the operational competence to run a training program that upholds the PAI standard.

Our Master Trainers are the people who carry PAI into their communities. They certify the next generation of PAI instructors. They represent PAI's values, curriculum, and brand every time they open a training. That is not a responsibility we entrust lightly — and it is not one that can be fulfilled on teaching skill alone.

If you are reading this page, you already know you are a strong instructor. The question PAI asks is: are you also a strong operator? Do you have the business foundation to administer a certification program — to manage enrollment, communicate with students, coordinate logistics, and deliver a professional experience from intake to graduation? That is the full picture of what PAI Master Trainers do. And it is the full picture we evaluate.

Who We Look For

PAI Master Trainers meet a specific, non-negotiable set of professional criteria. These are not aspirational targets — they are the baseline we evaluate every applicant against.

PAI Certified

Full PAI certification in the apparatus or modality you wish to teach — or equivalent ITTAP-accredited qualification.

5+ Years Teaching

A minimum of five years of active Pilates instruction, with documented evidence of consistent client work and professional development.

500+ Teaching Hours

At least 500 documented teaching hours — private, duet, and group sessions counted together — evidencing real-world breadth of client experience.

2+ Years in Business

A minimum of two years operating or co-managing a Pilates business — studio, private practice, or training entity — with demonstrated responsibility for enrollment, administration, client management, and professional operations.

Professional References

Two professional references from senior colleagues, healthcare providers, or studio directors who can speak to both your teaching quality and your professional conduct.

Why Business Experience Is Non-Negotiable

Teaching Pilates and running a Pilates certification program are two different skill sets. A PAI Master Trainer must do both — simultaneously, at a professional standard.

Administering a PAI certification course means managing the full student lifecycle: fielding inquiries, processing enrollment, communicating expectations, coordinating course logistics, supporting students during training, and overseeing the certification process through to completion. It means running a business — even if a small one — with the consistency and reliability that PAI students expect and deserve.

We have learned, over two decades of building this network, that the most gifted instructors sometimes struggle in this role when they have never had to build or operate a professional practice. Not because they lack capability — but because business operations are a learned skill set, just as teaching is. We include this criterion not to exclude talented instructors, but to set both parties up for success.

A PAI satellite center is a business. We look for Master Trainers who are ready to run one — and to run it well.

What Being a PAI Master Trainer Means

Joining the PAI Master Trainer network is not just a credential — it is a business partnership. Here is what you gain when you join.

Global brand association

Your center carries the PAI name and ITTAP accreditation, the most recognized credential in international Pilates education. That credibility opens doors for your students and for your business.

Complete curriculum and materials provided

PAI supplies the training system, course materials, and academic framework. You bring the space, the students, and the professional operation. We have built the education so you don't have to start from scratch.

Ongoing education and support

Master Trainers receive continuing education, curriculum updates, and direct access to PAI leadership. You are never operating in isolation. You are part of a global professional network.

A community of elite educators

PAI's global network of 40+ Master Trainers across six continents is a collegial, collaborative, and genuinely supportive community. These are the best Pilates educators in the world, and they are your peers.

Business development resources

From marketing materials and enrollment support to GoHighLevel integration and digital tools, PAI provides the infrastructure to help your satellite center grow professionally and sustainably.

CEC provider status

As a PAI satellite center, your graduates receive certifications that qualify them for CECs with ACE, NASM, AFAA, and NPCP. That is a genuine market advantage when recruiting students who care about credential value.

The Selection Process

Our selection process is thorough by design. We are looking for a long-term partnership — and we want both parties to enter it with full clarity and confidence.

  1. 01

    Expression of Interest

Submit our Expression of Interest form. Tell us about your teaching background, your business, and why PAI.

  2. 02

    Application Review

PAI reviews your submission against our criteria. We may request supporting documentation including teaching logs and business references.

  3. 03

    Interview & Assessment

A conversation with PAI leadership — covering your teaching philosophy, business operations, and your vision for your satellite center.

  4. 04

    Onboarding & Training

Accepted Master Trainers complete PAI's onboarding process: curriculum orientation, operational training, and center launch support.

Timeline: The full selection process typically takes 4–8 weeks from Expression of Interest to onboarding decision. We do not rush this process — and we ask that applicants don’t either.
